Signum University Board Opening

Signum University Board Opening

The Signum University Board, Signum’s governing body, currently has an opening for a new at-large member.

According to the university’s bylaws, these seats require a public call for self-nominations. Take the time to consider whether you might want to serve in this capacity, or whether someone you know could use a nudge to consider putting his or her name forward!

  • The Board seat is for a (potentially renewable) two-year term of service, beginning with the October 2017 Board meeting.
  • The Board meets quarterly, by online conference, to review Signum’s activities and to advise on Signum’s future planning.
  • Board member duties are primarily restricted to these quarterly meetings and preparatory reading to familiarize themselves with the matters being discussed at each meeting.
  • In unusual circumstances, an extraordinary meeting may be called.

The most important characteristic of a Signum Board member is a demonstrated commitment to the continued success of Signum University.

Nominees should send an email to by June 15, 2017, explaining their desire to serve and what relevant perspectives or experience they might bring to the Board.
