The Signum University Board, Signum’s governing body, currently has an opening for a new at-large member.
According to the university’s bylaws, these seats require a public call for self-nominations. Take the time to consider whether you might want to serve in this capacity, or whether someone you know could use a nudge to consider putting his or her name forward!
- The Board seat is for a (potentially renewable) two-year term of service, beginning with the October 2019 Board meeting.
- The Board meets quarterly, by online conference, to review Signum’s activities and to advise on Signum’s future planning.
- Board member duties are primarily restricted to these quarterly meetings and preparatory reading to familiarize themselves with the matters being discussed at each meeting.
- In unusual circumstances, an extraordinary meeting may be called.
The most important characteristic of a Signum Board member is a demonstrated commitment to the continued success of Signum University.
Nominees should send an email to [email protected] by July 14, 2019, explaining their desire to serve and what relevant perspectives or experience they might bring to the Board.
