Pilar loves languages and literature. She is interested in fairy tales, especially Andersen’s, Wilde’s, and Japanese traditional tales. She also enjoys Japanese children’s literature, Old English elegies, and Shakespeare.
Pilar has a Certificate of Higher Education in English literature from the University of Oxford, an MA in Literary Linguistics from the University of Nottingham, and an MA in Children’s Literature from the University of Roehampton. She has worked as an author of ESL textbooks and as an English and Spanish tutor. Pilar is a Spanish Conversation and SPACE Program preceptor at Signum Academy and Signum University. She is from Colombia but is now living in Panama with her husband and a little shih tzu called Coco.
