Kris Swank is a Preceptor, Lecturer, and Library Coordinator at Signum University. She is also Library Director at Pima Community College–Northwest Campus, Tucson, Arizona. Kris holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Humanities and English, Dana College; and Masters degrees in Library Science (University of Arizona), International Management (Thunderbird), and Language and Literature (Signum University). She is currently studying at the University of Glasgow with Dr. Dimitra Fimi. Kris has been published in Tolkien StudiesMythloreThe Journal of Tolkien Research, and over a dozen edited collections. She has also written on library topics for Library JournalAmerican Libraries, and other professional publications. Her honors and awards include the Horner Japanese Exchange Fellowship, Arizona Library Association (1992); the Barton Kyle Yount Award, Thunderbird (1995); the Professional Enrichment Recognition Award (2012) and Outstanding Honors Faculty (2014, 2019), Pima Community College; and two Research Support Awards, University of Glasgow (2019).

Kris Swank can barely hold in her bubbling laughter. She is clearly amused at this opportunity to share her image. She's leaning her chin on her beringed left hand and her green eyes and deep dimples remind us: Librarians Have More Fun.
