This hybrid event will occur at the Drury Inn & Suites – Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL. For our return to the Sunshine State, our theme this year is “The Muppet Lord of the Rings”.

Price: $50.00 USD for in-person attendance, $25.00 USD for remote attendance
We have secured a reduced room rate of $175/night for Sunshine Moot. The Drury Inn & Suites – Universal Orlando Resort has several amenities worth mentioning, such as:

We will be giving everyone a code here to get the discounted room rate later in the year, so please do not book your hotel room just yet!
There is no Call for Proposals this year for Sunshine Moot.
Big Name Studios, in conjunction with Signum Studios, is proud to announce The Muppet Lord of the Rings!
Congratulations! You have been selected by Signum Studios and Executive Producer Corey Olsen to join the internal Creative Team putting together this movie series. Corey Olsen (and perhaps a special guest or two?) will lead you and the full Creative Team in interactive discussions and breakout sessions all day throughout the Moot. You will be responsible for all creative decisions relating to The Muppet Lord of the Rings, including, but not limited to:
- Human and Muppet casting choices
- Book to Movie scene choice decisions
- Art direction
- Musical choices
- Costuming
- Set design
- …and more!
There is a catch, however, from Big Name Studios!
“We’re concerned about franchise fatigue,” Addison Bigbucks, president of Big Name Studios said in a recent interview. “We still want to see this project through, but based on recent Tolkien creative media decisions, we don’t think the public will sit through three Muppet Lord of the Rings movies. And frankly, we’re concerned about how much money three movies will cost us. Therefore, we are greenlighting only two movies, not three.”
What creative decisions will you and the Creative Team make given these constraints? Can you put together a winning franchise that will appeal to both the die-hard Tolkien fans and the casual movie-going public? Will Big Name Studios phone in during the Moot with their own ideas the Creative Team might have to follow? The only way to find out is to join us in Orlando for Sunshine Moot!
By the end of Sunshine Moot, we will have put together something to present to the Signum community at-large: our creative choices and decisions on The Muppet Lord of the Rings for their discussion, edification, and (hopeful) approval!
We are also planning on a fun excursion on the Friday before Sunshine Moot. When you register, we’ll be in touch to see how many of you are interested in meeting up on Friday and what activities would interest you.
