Ryan Kimbell

Ryan Kimbell is a Biology instructor at Lander University. He holds a Masters in Biology from Georgia State University and a B.S. from Clemson University. He has worked extensively in primate behavioral studies, both at research facilities in the US as well as in Morocco and Costa Rica. His research interests focus on behavioral ecology and the neuroscience of behavior; his teaching interests focus on increasing understanding of the nature of science. At Signum, Ryan teaches the ‘Biological Concepts in Fantasy and Science Fiction’ SPACE module, which explores the ways science intersects with fictional worldbuilding. He enjoys exploring fictional worlds with Signum, as well as book collecting and studying ancient history and languages.
