Happy Hobbit Day!
As with the past several years, September 22nd marks not only the birthdays of two of the most famousest of hobbits but also the beginning of the Signum University Annual Fund Drive!
This year we’re doing things a little differently. While we are still holding some special events over the course of the next three weeks, our focus during this year’s campaign is on our regular and ongoing programs. That’s because we are doing more than ever on a weekly basis – and we’re looking to grow our programs even more in the next year and beyond!
To explain more about the 2017 fund drive and our goals for this year, Signum University Founder and President Dr. Corey Olsen has recorded a special welcome video.
How to Participate
You can join us in during this year’s annual campaign in the following ways:
- Join us for our regular weekly educational programming, including Mythgard Academy discussions, the Silmarillion Film Project, and our various Mythgard on LOTRO activities like Exploring The Lord of the Rings.
- Attend our periodic Signum Symposia events, including a Thesis Theater with recent graduates Ashley Thomas and Eric Lynch and a special discussion with Dr. Dimitra Fimi as a follow-up to her Celtic Myth in Children’s Fantasy course.
- Come to Iowa for the Upper Midwest Regional Midmoot on October 7 to meet with Dr. Olsen and a group of fantasy and science fiction scholars and enthusiasts.
